Environment Conservation and Climate Change
Environmental degradation poses a major challenge to sustainable development. It is universally acknowledged as constituting a thread to food production and can increase disasters and global warming, and affect negatively general living standards. Protecting and improving the environment gives people opportunity to survive, thrive and be free from extreme poverty.
Many across the Africa live in remote villages with little access to outside markets and they depend on the land to provide them with enough water, and food to feed their families through the year and enough money from their agribusiness so that they can afford medical care, clothing and shelter.
If we cannot protect the forests, water sheds and gas emissions increasing global warming and embrace green energy and conservation, our future is at great risk due to changing climates, environmental damage from slash and burn farming, the over usage of pesticides and many other causes, people who depend on the land for their livelihoods are suffering.
We therefore at AAHRED strive together with these communities to improve their existing resources through sustainable solutions.
