Gender Equality and development
Advancing gender equality drives tremendous gains in health, education, employment, and improved livelihoods, for women and girls themselves and for their broader families and communities. However, in many parts of the world, women and girls still face social norms and legal, economic, and political constraints that prevent them from participating fully and equally in society.
It is our commitment to empower women and men to advance gender equality and fight poverty, disease and discrimination based on gender. We work with partners to conduct research, build capacity sensitize and advocate for evidence-based, practical ways to change attitudes, policies and programs.
